Here at Shelley Veterinary Hospital, our community is more than just clients. Our community is home, and it is because of you that we are able to pursue our passion of veterinary medicine. Through partnership with the amazing people in our area, we are able to expand our reach and give back to this community. Not every dog and cat is lucky enough to find their forever home. It is important to us that we do everything we can to better these situations and that is why we continue to work closely with local humane societies and animal shelters.
We also partner with several residents in the area to help reduce feral cat colony populations by getting them spayed and neutered through our TNR program. To help us give back to our community and help these animals in need, we have started an annual Angel Fund yard sale. Each summer, our staff volunteer their time to organize a yard sale here at our practice. 100% of the proceeds go into an Angel Fund that helps us to provide medical care to stray dogs and cats. Every December we do a Christmas Hope fundraiser where we collect donations to continue the positive work of the Angel Fund. We also run a program called “Sponsor a TNR”. The donation is used to bring a stray cat to our facility to get spayed or neutered and any other healthcare they may need. The sponsor is then sent a picture of the cat they saved and a thank you for caring for them.
These programs help greatly to reduce feral cat populations and help limit the number of cats that do not have loving homes. We love this community and all the humans and animals within it.
We look forward to being able to provide care in our community for many years to come.
