CFO (Chief Feline Officer)

Gracie supervises our staff and keeps us in line, even though she is caught sleeping most of the time. As our cat boss, she makes sure our office chairs stay warm and our paperwork does not fly away. She firmly believes that drinking directly from the dripping faucet is the only way to hydrate. She requests her snack immediately upon arrival in the morning and makes sure we never forget. She is definitely MVP of our staff!

Leatha Bennett, DVM

Medical Director

A familiar face at our practice, Dr. Bennett joined the SVH team in 2014. She graduated from Colorado State University in 1994 and has worked with a variety of clinics around Idaho. She was promoted to Medical Director in 2021. With her knowledge and caring nature, she provides exceptional treatment and cares for all her patients. She competes in horse competitions throughout the country and loves to trail ride. She also provides a loving and comforting home for her cat, horses, and mules.

Practice Manager

Brittney, our Practice Manager, has been with SVH since 2005. She has completed her bachelor’s degree in biology at Idaho State University. Brittney has a Husky mix named Cash, a rambunctious but loving hound mix named Eva, and a house ruling cat named Squint Eastwood. She loves to spend her free time playing soccer and hanging out with her family and furrballs.

Veterinary Technician

Mindy came to work at SVH in 2008. She has over 20 years of veterinary technician experience and has been actively involved in the animal community for much of her lifetime. She has a friendly dog, Trooper, along with an adorable cat, Andy. She loves to spend her free time watching Football and Nascar.

Diane has been working for SVH since 2009. She is one of the kindest and compassionate members of the receptionist team. She has one kitty clown named Stinky PantsStinky Pants, two children, and three grandchildren. In her free time, she loves Christmas and collects Christmas ornaments. She has such an amazing heart and volunteers at the local food bank on her day off every week.

Front Office Supervisor

Stacey has been working with us since 2018 and is our front office supervisor. She moved from Kansas City with her husband for his new job, which was the best thing that could have happened to us. She is unparalleled in her compassion and dedication to helping every animal she comes across. In her free time, she enjoys watching sports and hanging out with her furr-babies. She has 3 kids and 3 grandbabies. She also has a whole family of cats and dogs. One is a Great Pyrenese named Wyn, and the other is a Heeler named Bode.

Veterinary Technician

Becki came to us after moving to Idaho Falls in 2018 from Seattle with her husband. She worked as a technician for 8 years at a large rescue in Seattle before she came to us. She has fostered dozens of dogs and cats over the years and was key in helping to find them, new families, to call home. She loves to spend her free time with her children and grandchildren. She also has two cats, Jack and Beau.

Veterinary Technician

Alisha has become a valuable asset to our technician team. She started with us in 2019 and has quickly fallen in love with the work we do and all our furry clients. She has 2 dogs, a Pitbull mix named Lillee who is sassy, spoiled, silly, and quirky, and a Chihuahua named Chomper, who is a snuggle bug and bossy. In her free time, she enjoys gaming with her hubby, traveling, cuddling with her furrbabies, and organizing. It is a pleasure having her as part of the Shelley Veterinary Staff.

Veterinary Technician

Sally made the journey from California and joined our team in October of 2022. She has worked in several branches of human medicine until the cuteness of our patients pulled her to us. She has 2 human children and 2 furrkids, Mr. Winston and Angus. Anything outdoors, especially fishing, is her favorite and she loves to attend concerts whenever possible. She started with our reception team and has quickly advanced to veterinarian assistant and is thriving.

Madi has been an Idaho resident her entire life. She joined our reception staff in July of 2022. She has a bachelor’s degree in radiographic science and also fell victim to the cuteness of our patients, making the career change to veterinary medicine. She likes to spend her free time camping with her husband and hanging out with her kitties, Sayo and Marshall.

Patience is one of our receptionists who started with us in September of 2022. She is a 14-year technician veteran and has put aside surgery to focus more on the customer service side of veterinary medicine. She has 3 kitties: Molly, Raptor, and Mischief. Molly has traveled through multiple states with her, calling Idaho their current home. In her free time, Patience enjoys hiking, baking, and relaxing with her kittens.

Gina started her career in veterinary medicine at Paws for Life in Wyoming in 2007, where she remained for 16 years. When life brought her to Idaho, she started with UPS, but her love for this industry never went away. She joined our team in the Spring of 2023. She has 1 son, and 1 kitty named Cupcake. In her free time, she likes to hang out with her family and curl up with a good book.
